Chinmay is a first year MS/PhD under Dr. Luis Sentis in the Human Centered Robotics Lab. His current research focus is using machine learning to help robots adapt and act in social interactions. He is currently working on using computer vision to predict other people’s future motion and estimate their emotional state based on body language. In the future, he is interested in enabling robots to mimic actions learned from observing others, so their movement is more natural and diverse, similar to humans.
