Program: College of Natural Sciences, PhD in Computer Science | CV
Noah Patton is a PhD student in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, working on neurosymbolic techniques for robotics. Broadly, he aims to simultaneously imbue robotic agents with high-level symbolic reasoning and low-level pattern recognition to improve the explainability of systems and their sample efficiency. Prior to entering the PhD program, Noah obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he worked on improving risk-sensitivity of high-dimensional action planning.
